Going back centuries and recently expanded, the Villa Giada wine cellar is in Canelli, on the Ceirole hillside.
Equipped with the very latest in modern technology, it provides optimum vinification of the grapes in the best possible
environment and perfect aging of the fruit of such intense efforts.
Each step in the winemaking process - the arrival of the grapes, fermentation, maturation, bottling, aging and shipping – is carefully planned to result in the
best possible outcome.
The birth of the wine
The wine comes from the vineyard: nature give us her gifts, but the man have to transform at the best what he receives after months of hard work in vineyard
.
There are four important steps, and we try to obtain the best from each of them
- Grapes reception at the winery, with the selection of the best grapes and the vinification
- The fermentation and maturation in vats
- The ageing in barrels, in the traditional underground wine cellar, at constant temperature and humidity
- The bottling and maturation in bottle , before the shipping
