The Wineyards
"
I believe firmly in the respect of nature and environment where I live.
The philosophy of good, clean and right brings me to follow always criterion of environmentally compatible agriculture, today called “Biological”
Greenland is in the raws and all not traditional products have been abandoned."
Azienda Agricola Villa Giada lies in the heart of Piedmont’s winemaking region, midway between the hills of Asti and Alba, near Monferrato and Langhe, the two oenological regions of Piedmont.
More than 25 hectares of estate-owned vineyards cluster around three old farmsteads, a stone’s throw from one another:
- Cascina Ceirole
in Canelli, the original centre of the estate, with the cellar and 7 hectares of vineyards at an altitude of about 320 m above sea level
- Cascina del Parroco
in Calosso, 4 hectares of vineyards situated on a small plateau overlooking the valley of the Nizza stream
- Cascina Dani in Agliano Terme, in the heart of the Barbera-producing region, 14 hectares perfectly positioned on loose, well-balanced sand and clay soil, rich in minerals and with excellent drainage
- Bricco Dani, a small hillside facing southeast, where we grow our finest grapes, fermented separately in the best years in order to highlight the special characteristics of this vineyard.
